My paintings are mostly experimental mixed-media on canvas or wood. I typically draw central figures on thick paper with pens, cut them out, and then combine them with paint, inks, adhesive, powders, and other materials. This section also includes mixed media projects like modified prints of my drawings
My mother was a painter and art teacher, and I lived with her until her death. She left behind a huge mount of painting supplies, over 400 paintbrushes, and many boxes of half-finished and unused findings and materials that she used to make painted collages when she was very ill. I use her materials as a way to somewhat carry on her use of collage as a healthy outlet for pain.
